Balance seems to be an everyday struggle with me. Whether its balancing free-time with work, family with friends or on one foot its always been a feat to gain or maintain any sort of control in my day-to-day. Now that the seasons are in a transitional stage, I’ve seemed to be a little out of whack than usuale. That is until I had my first experience with Chakra Meditation. After just my first experience I have been feeling alert and in control… I haven’t hit snooze in over a week! I never realized something so abstract could have such concrete results.
What is Chakra Meditation?
“Chakras” are energy centers within our being that effect our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual energy. These energy centers control the balance of our day-to-day living. If your Chakra energy centers are both absorbing and releasing energy smoothly, you will most likely have a sense of control and balance over your life. If your Chakra energy centers are cluttered with old energies, you may be overcome with a “unbalanced” feeling.
What are your Chakra Energy Centers?
There are seven Chakra energy centers throughout our bodies that work together to control a balance over both our mental and physical state.
1. The Root Chakra is associated with the color red, located at the base of the spine. This energy center is most associated with our relationships to others and mother earth.
2. The Sacral Chakra Associated with the color orange, located just below your navel. It is linked to our creativity and inner child.
3. The Solar Plexus is associated with the color orange, located just below the heart to the navel. It is linked to our ego, internal parent and self-esteem.
4. The Heart Chakra is associated with the color green, located in the center of the chest. It is linked to our love, confidence, trust, and inspiration.
5. The Throat Chakra is associated with the color blue, located at the base of the throat. It is linked to taking responsibility, trusting and decision making.
6. The Brow Chakra is associated with the color indigo, located in the center of the forehead. It is linked to our inner vision, divine understanding, wisdom, intuition, and intelligence.
7. The Crown Chakra is associated with the colors violet and white, located at the top of the head. It is linked to our connection with Higher Power, Source, integration of the Whole, meaning, devotion, inspiration, and higher alignment.
How does Chakra Meditation help us balance?
Our Chakra energy centers can become “clogged” with residue from this time and dimension and any that came before it. The build up of this residue slows down the working force of our Chakras, which has a negative impact on both your physical and menta health. When we practice Chakra meditation, we clear the residue that builds up, which allows our chakras to spin and work in synch with our other chakras that produces a harmony in one’s self.
