  6. Avoid sodas, bottled processed fruit drinks and pre-sweetened teas. You are essentially drinking sugar in water. Sparkling water with fresh lemon or lime is refreshing; herbal teas sweetened with a teaspoon of clover honey are delicious for a treat.
  7. Eliminate fruit juice. It sounds healthy, but it’s really only a pure sugar hit with none of the fibre and less of the nutrients found in raw fruit.
